Pokémon Island used to be a quiet place just for Pokémon and a few researchers, like Professor Oak. But three years ago, they found a rare Pokémon called Mew there. This brought a lot of trainers to the island, making it busy with people. Many trainers were really good, and the island became famous for battles.
They started having tournaments that many people watched. Recently, they even built a Colosseum for battles, and trainers get ranked based on how many battles they win there. Some new Pokémon were found, some were released by trainers, and a few were sold. Explorers discovered Pokémon in new places, and they made efforts to have more kinds of Pokémon on the island. So, the island is always growing with different Pokémon and lots of excitement.
